No-Rosion Coolant Test Packet

The affordable new way to complete testing of corrosion and freeze protection.

Each packet contains four individually-sealed strips that test for: (1) percent glycol (freeze point), (2) nitrite (corrosion protection), and (3) pH (acidic buildup).

By testing for proper glycol and No-Rosion concentrations, you can take the guesswork out of cooling system freeze and corrosion protection. Testing without precise measuring or mixing of coolant.

The entire test takes under 45 seconds to perform. This saves maintenance personnel time, and allows for convenient fine-tuning of your No-Rosion Cooling System Treatment Program.

Testing has shown that some vehicles actually consume No-Rosion at different rates than others. Avoid costly product overusage by adding No-Rosion only when it is needed. Easy to read color-coded tests, without confusing unit calculations.

At the conclusion of each test, the instructions tell you exactly how to proceed in your No-Rosion treatment. Accurate freeze point determination of ethylene and propylene glycol antifreezes.

You probably used to determine freeze point by analyzing "how many balls float." This antiquated method isn't always accurate, and can cause costly mistakes.

NOTE: This test packet can only be used with No-Rosion Cooling System Corrosion Inhibitor.  It is NOT compatible with HyperKuhl SuperCoolant.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: With engine off and cool, collect coolant sample from the radiator/petcock. DO NOT collect from a coolant recovery or overflow system. Coolant must be between 50 degrees F. to 130 degrees F. when tested.

Remove a strip from one packet. DO NOT touch pads on the end of the strip. Discard unused strips if the pads at the end of turned dark brown.

Dip strip in coolant sample for one second, remove, and shake strip briskly to remove excess fluid.

Forty-five seconds later, compare and record results in the following order: (a) Compare freeze point (end pad) to color chart and record result, (b) Next compare sodium molybdate (middle pad) to color chart and record result, (c) lastly, compare sodium nitrate test to color chart and record result.

All three readings must be completed no later than 75 seconds after dipping the strip.

It is okay to estimate a value between color blocks; if uncertain about the color match, estimate towards the lighter color block.

Determine on the chart in which color zone the sodium molybdate level intersects the sodium nitrate level, and follow the treatment instructions accordingly.

TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

YELLOW: Add 1 pint of No-Rosion/HyperKuhl per every 5 gallons (20 quarts) of 50/50 coolant. (Add 1.5 pints for straight water coolant.)

GREEN: Add 1/2 pint of No-Rosion/HyperKuhl per every 5 gallons (20 quarts) of 50/50 coolant. (Add 1.0 pints for straight water coolant.)

RED: Do not add No-Rosion/HyperKuhl until the next scheduled service interval (once per year or every 30,000 miles of use), or until the tests are green or yellow.
